‘Anything about beauty is a joy forever………’
The annual ‘Art and Craft Exhibition’ held on the 17th and 18th of February, 2011 was an outstanding success. The exhibition was inaugurated by our special guests Mr. Manmohan, Mr. Ganesh Mishra and Mrs. Manjula Premkumar in the presence of the principal and the vice-principal. It was the result of the combined effort of the art and craft teachers and students from LKG to standard 7. The exhibition focused on creativity as it enabled many art and craft works by the budding artists to be showcased. The displays included fancy photoframes, emboss paintings, poses of different animal faces. There were also decorative pencils, photo frames made from ice-cream sticks, lovely sponge dolls, jumping frogs made with paper, greeting cards, paper lanterns, pumpkins, octopus, dancing peacocks with feathers beautifully spread which enthralled one and all. The clay dolls made with bottles, birthday decorations, letter holders, birds, crawly caterpillars, red riding hood’s baskets, camel and snowman were all made by the little hands of the students. All the visitors who witnessed the show were amazed.
The art works were also interesting. It included works which primarily revolved around charcoal paintings, pencil shading, pencil sketching, drawings of monuments and paintings of beautiful landscapes. The talented students behind these works have participated in many competitions and have brought laurels to the school.
The exhibition which bore fruit due to the hard work and dedication of the art and craft teachers proved to be inspirational to many art lovers. It also showed that learning can be fun and was truly an enriching experience for people of all ages.
