Bishop Cotton Boys’ School, on the 23rd of December, was graced by the Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Honorable President of India. He was accompanied by Shri Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala, Governor of Karnataka, Shri Siddaramaiah, Chief Minister of Karnataka, and Dr. G Parameshwara and Bishop Rev Dr. Prasanna Kumar Samuel, Chairman, Karnataka Central Diocese.
On this day, the former Principals of both Cotton Boys’ and Cotton Girls’ were felicitated for their years of service. Grammy Award Winner, and Old Cottonian, Ricky Kej, accompanied by Grammy Award Winner Wouter Kellerman, the renowned South African Flutist, with the assistance of the combined choir of Cotton Boys’ and Cotton Girls’, enthralled the crowd with their melodious odes. Tanvi Shah, one of India’s finest vocalists, captivated the audience, which consisted of nearly 13000 people.
In the Christmas Program that followed, nearly 1200 students of Junior I and Junior II instilled the warmth of Christmas in our hearts. On the same night, the staff members along with their families, capped off what proved to be a truly wonderful day with an equally wonderful dinner.
This was truly an occasion to be remembered and truly epitomized Cottons’ ambition and drive for success.
