“Christmas isn’t a season. It’s a feeling.” Edna Ferber
As the Pulitzer Prize winning novelist so rightly stated, we at Cottons believe in
the feeling of Christmas. Christmas is for joy, for giving and sharing, for
laughter, for coming together with family and friends, for tinsel and twinkling
lights. But mostly, Christmas is for LOVE.
As the cool, crisp winter air sweeps across the majestic grounds of our
historical school, the Kindergarten Block gets transformed into a magical world
of white bearded Santas, enchanted sleighs, majestic reindeers, sparkling trees
and a jolly mix of ribbons, bows and string.
The much loved Santa Claus with his hearty laugh and jolly smile visited the
eagerly awaiting boys with Mrs. Santa in tow. As they sashayed down the
grounds, singing and dancing and showering the boys with gifts and goodies,
they instilled in them the very important message that giving is far more
important than receiving. By setting this example, the feeling of Christmas
comes alive within each and every one of our hearts.
